The research team and co-authors will continue to synthesize the data collected and write the manuscript for The D.I.G Book.
The research team continues to transcribe, analyze and code the data obtained from participants in preparation for the manuscript writing. The research team also continues to conduct scholarly research for inclusion in the book.
The D.I.G research team is comprised of members with extensive experience in qualitative research and data analysis. The research team conducted scholarly research in the areas of Psychological Capital, Imposter Syndrome, Spirituality & Wellbeing, Empowerment, resilience, and other theoretical research topics. The team also conducted and recorded interviews for later transcription.
Recruitment began for women to participate in our research. The research included screening questionnaires, demographic data gathering, and recorded interviews.
While trying to find inspirational stories to help cope with her mom's passing, co-author Melonie was unable to find stories from everyday women that resonated. One day, she spoke to co-author Yayra and found that she too felt that stories from everyday women were often drowned out or underrepresented. Together they decided to embark on a journey of inspiration and empowerment through storytelling. The idea for D.I.G was born!
